Credentials and Professional Profile

Hello,
I’m Danielle.

Hello, I’m Danielle.

The founder of Roseroot Therapy.

The founder of Roseroot therapy

My work is rooted in person-centred psychotherapy theory and shaped by working one-to-one with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, attachment difficulties, trauma, loss, domestic abuse, sexual violence, anger management, and other complex life experiences.

While completing a First-Class Honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I began working in the University of Salford’s one-to-one counselling service and the Arts for the Blues programme. Arts for the Blues is a 12-week creative group therapy programme that explores the relationship between creativity, emotional expression, and psychological well-being, specifically aimed at combating depression and anxiety.

The work has deepened my understanding of how creative approaches can sit alongside traditional talking therapy, sometimes making experiences feel safer, lighter, or easier to approach indirectly.

To me, meaningful therapy is not about being analysed with a clipboard from a distance, but about being understood enough for the change you seek to become possible.

What you can expect from a Roseroot session

Sessions will begin with a short grounding exercise to slow down from the busy, often overwhelming outside world. This is to ‘arrive’ in the therapeutic space; the aim of this is to create a clear sense of presence before moving into the work itself.

Therapy is led by you and the experiences you choose to bring, while I help make sense of patterns, emotions, and experiences that may feel difficult to hold on your own.

At the moment, I can only offer sessions online, but I hope to set up a physical practice for face-to-face appointments soon.
