Alongside talking therapy, creative and reflective approaches may also be incorporated where helpful, offering alternative ways to explore experiences that can feel difficult to fully articulate through words alone.
Creative therapy involves drawing, meditation, and creative writing to gather a different perspective on a situation. Influences from movement-based therapeutic training also inform an awareness of the connection between emotional and physical experience, supporting greater grounding, emotional regulation, and body awareness within the therapeutic process.
Starting therapy for the first time, or with a new therapist, can feel overwhelming. Which is why our first half hour together is free of charge, as this assessment is a space for you to explore whether my counselling approach is the best fit for your needs.
